You make want to consider adding a high resolution button camera set to take full advantage of this mini dvr recorders video capabilities.  Since the current technology for the vast majority of digital video recorders only supports video playback at 450 LOR  purchasing a camera with more that 450 lines of resolution   is completely ill advised and unnecessary.    Make a habit of choosing cameras that use a high quality CCD camera and not the lower quality CMOS cameras that are considerably inferior in video quality.

in conclusion some cameras have a separate microphone which can be used to record audio with your video recording.  In many states the audio portion of the recorded video is not permitted as evidence in a court of law.
